On Friday, 22nd of May thirteenth expert meeting was held in the framework of the online project of the School of International Regional Studies of HSE University. The invited expert Yonatan Freeman, Professor of the Department of Political Sciences, Hebrew University, Jerusalem presented the topic “The US-China-Russia triangle, how did the trade war become an information war?”.

On Monday, 6th of April fourth online seminar with was conducted as a part of the joint project of the Russian Middle East Association and the School of International Regional Studies of HSE University. On Wednesday, 1st of April, in the framework of the joint project of the Russian Middle East Association and the School of International Regional Studies of HSE University, Naseem Khan Achakzai, Executive Director of Bolan Development and Policy Research Institute and Executive Director of the Center for Sustainability Research and Practice, the University of Lahore and his colleague, Hameed Khan gave the speech on two important issues: China’s increasing influence during the pandemic in South Asia and the peace process in Afghanistan and the changing priorities during the pandemic.

On Tuesday, 31th of March second online meeting with an international expert as a part of the joint project of the Russian Middle East Association and the School of International Regional Studies of HSE University was held.
This time Dr. Waqar Rizvi, Pakistani-Canadian broadcast journalist, TV presenter & political analyst discussed one of the most pressing issues in the Middle East, COVID-19 in Pakistan: Domestic & Foreign Priorities.

On Friday, 27th of March as a part of the joint project of the School of International Regional Studies of HSE University and the Russian Middle East Association the online meeting with Dr. Imad Rizk, Director of Institute for Strategic and Communication Studies in Lebanon (Isticharia-ISCS) was held on the topic “The Middle East after “Corona”: The Future of Syria, Libya, and Yemen in Balance of Regional Powers – Turkey, Iran & Israel”.
