Wednesday, October 5, 2022 the International Round Table “Islamic Finance: Theory and Practice in the XXI Century” was organized by the School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University.

On September 24, 2022, within the framework of the online project “It’s worth talking about”, meeting was held with Dr. Andrey Baklanov, The State Counselor (1-st class) of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Research sector of the Middle East and North Africa of the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of HSE University.  

In September 22^nd, the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, in cooperation with the School of Foreign Languages of HSE University and the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences promoted a Round Table on the issue “Chile and reasons behind its slow economic growth”.

Director of CCEIS V. Kashin as a speaker and associate professor of the Department of Foreign Regional Studies, researcher of CCEIS L. Sokolshchik, as an invited expert, took part in the first scientific and educational camp of the Academy of Arms Control Negotiations (ACONA), which was held from August 15 to 19 in an online format. The start of a new cycle of the project was preceded by a lot of preparatory work. For almost three months in the weekly mode L. Sokolshchik together with colleagues from MGIMO, Harvard University, the Woodrow Wilson Center, the Frankfurt Peace Institute, and the University of Iceland, participated in the formation of the program and the content of the camp events. During the camp, discussions, master classes and speeches by leading world experts in the field of strategic stability and global security, trainings on conducting international negotiations and resolving the most pressing issues of modern international relations were organized for project participants from the USA, Russia, Europe, Asia during the camp.

On March 25, 022 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University within the framework of the permanent online seminars «Contemporary Area Studies», organized a meeting with Dr. Diana Vladimirova, Candidate of History, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of the Asia-Pacific Region and the School of Regional and International Studies, Far Eastern Federal University.

On February 21, 2022 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, within the framework of the permanent online seminars “Contemporary Area Studies”, organised a meeting with MBA from the University of Chicago, Ph.D. in Economics, a specialist in socio-economic development of India Alexander Lopatin.

On February 25, 2022 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University within the framework of the permanent online seminars «Contemporary Area Studies», organized a meeting with  with Dr. Evgeny Kremnev, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Oriental and Regional Studies of the Asia-Pacific Region, Irkutsk State University.

On February 2, 2022 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, within the framework of the permanent online seminars “Contemporary Area Studies”, organised a meeting with the visiting lecturer of the School of International Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University Dr. Ksenia Spitsyna.

On January 27, 2022, the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, within the framework of the permanent online seminars “Contemporary Area Studies”, organised a meeting with Dr. Amur Gadzhiev, correspondent of the Turkish edition of the Sputnik news agency, lecturer at the Russian State University for the Humanities, candidate of historical sciences.  The topic of the meeting: “The main features of Turkey's foreign policy at the present stage.”

On January 25, 2022 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University within the framework of the permanent online seminars «Contemporary Area Studies», organized a meeting with Dmitry Streltsov, Professor, Ph.D. of Historical Sciences, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies of the Faculty of International Affairs of MGIMO University, Chairman of the Interregional Public Organization "Association of Japanese Studies".
