On June, 18, 2013 Daisuke Kotegawa, Research Director, Canon Institute for Global Studies, former Executive Director for Japan, IMF gave a lecture “Latest Developments of The World Economy” to students and teachers at the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs on financial crisis in Japan, Cyprus and overview of global economy.
Кen Jimbo, Professor at the Keio University (Japan), spoke on ‘2030 Strategic Trends in Asia-Pacific: Implication for Japan-Russia Relations’ at a roundtable discussion at the HSE. The event has been organized by the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs.
This year, cooperation between HSE and East China Normal University in Shanghai has reached a new level, with a first exchange programme for Russian and Chinese teachers launched at HSE. The inaugural publication of the BRICS Research Group, a joint initiative between the Higher School of Economics and the University of Toronto, co-edited by John Kirton and Marina Larionova, has been published. This special publication for the 2012 New Delhi Summit is a collection of articles by government officials from BRICS countries, representatives of international organizations, businessmen and leading researchers.
The 2011 Sanya BRICS Summit Compliance Report prepared by the BRICS Research Group, a joint undertaking between the HSE International Organizations Research Institute and Trinity College of the University of Toronto (Canada), was published on March 27th, 2012.
