On May 20 the HSE School of Asian Studies organized the annual ‘Oriental Crazy Day’ event. Students and lecturers worked together to capture the atmosphere of ‘the East’, and, on Saturday, the HSE building on Trifonovskaya ulitsa opened its doors to everyone interested in Asian studies.

The 1 ^st June on HSE and University of London Parallel Degree Programme in International Relations, the round table was held, which was devoted to issues of academic culture and different experience in education process in the USA and Russia.

On May 15, 2017 a lecture by Ra Jong-yil, Professor at the Kyung Hee University, Ambassador to Japan from 2004 to 2007 and to the United Kingdom from 2001 to 2003, writer and public figure in the Republic of Korea, was held at HSE’s School of Asian Studies.

Zhu Ning, from People’s Republic of China, is pursuing her Master's in Socioeconomic and Political Development of Modern Asia at HSE. She is currently in her second year of studies. Zhu Ning has talked to HSE News Service about her experience of studying and living and Moscow.

On April 11–14, 2017, National Research University Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE) held the XVIII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. The conference is held annually and brings together a number of academics and experts from world leading universities and international organizations.

Giang Dinh, a student at HSE’s Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, believes that receiving an education in Russia, particularly at HSE, is one of the best choices a student can make. A new article “The Victory of Russia and the New Concert of Nations” by Prof. Sergei Karaganov was published on 3 March 2017 in the Italian magazine on geopolitics “Limes”.
