Lecture on the "International Relations Theory" was held in the Department of Economic Policy & Development of the City of Moscow on April 29. 

On April 10, Alexander Daniltsev, Director of the Institute of Trade Policy together with his colleague Maxim Medvekov, HSE Honorary Professor became moderators of the special section of the Institute of Trade Policy, devoted to pressing problems in the field of trade in the context of economic development.

Professor of the University of Western Australia Mark Beeson delivered a series of open lectures at the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics in the framework of the HSE Visiting Scholar Visits Support Programme and with the participation of the International Laboratory of World Order Studies and New Regionalism.

On April 9–12, 2019, National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) hosted the XX April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. Since 2000, April conferences at HSE have been bringing together renowned academics and experts from around the globe. The most recent research findings presented by the conference participants followed by intense discussions make HSE a place where new ideas in the various academic fields encourage  further research and introduce different perspectives on the seemingly known areas.

Vladimir Zuev, Academic Supervisor of the Programme, met Olivier Godard, Director of International Affairs of Kiel Institute for the World Economy. The meeting took place during Global Solutions conference held in Berlin on March 18-19. The conference was co-organized by Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

On Friday, March 29, at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs Professor David S. Foglesong gave an open lecture on 'The American Global Mission and the Demonization of Russia'.

The CCEIS Deputy Director Dmitry Suslov has published an article for the Valdai Club entitled "The Mueller Report Extends, Not Resolves the US-Russia Stalemate"

The Head of School of International Regional Studies and the Deputy Dcademic Head of the Program Vishnyakova Vera Vladimirovna visited the Irkutsk lyceum No. 3 and Ust-Kutsk Lyceum No. 1 with a lecture "Russian Turn to the East: New Prospects in the Choice of Future Profession".

On March 19, the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and the Fletcher School of Law and International Relations brought together leading international experts at the Higher School of Economics to discuss the role of sanctions in modern international relations, current trends in global trade, and future prospects for the world economy.

On March 14–15, 2019, an Academic Workshop on Modernization in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was held in St. Petersburg, Russia, organized by the Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies, The George Washington University, U.S.A. ( PONARS Eurasia program).
