On October 23, the first round of the annual Golden HSE competition got underway. This prize will be awarded in December for the seventeenth time. See what’s new on the ‘anti-versary’ award, and nominate your candidates.

The 2017 HSE Alumni Awards will shortly be open for nominations. The awards were founded in 2007 to recognise HSE graduates who have achieved professional success in the corporate sphere or their own businesses. Over the years, the winners have included Maxim Oreshkin, Russian Minister of Economic Development, Ilya Azar and Tonia Samsonova, journalists, Ksenia Mokrushina, Director of the Centre of Urban Studies at Skolkovo Moscow School of Management, and Vladimir Potapov, CEO at VTB Capital, among others.

The report has been prepared due to the series of research conducted in late 2016-early 2017 and the situation analysis “Turn to the East: A new stage and agenda for co-operation”.

Prof. Karaganov has published a new article on the Future World Order in ‘Rossiiskaya Gazeta’.

The application period for HSE’s Student Research Paper Competition has started. The winners will have an opportunity to take part in workshops on academic skills development, while those in state-financed studies will improve their chances of seeing their academic scholarships increased. Also, in addition in HSE students, learners from other academic institutions are eligible for this competition.

On June 27 in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation was held a round table on 'EAEU-Vietnam Free Trade Area: New Opportunities for Entrepreneurs from Russia and Vietnam' in the framework of which different projects aimed at strengthening bilateral business relations between the two states were discussed as well as Roman I. Fainshmidt took part in the event as an expert.

Eduard Dzhagityan, Associate Professor of the School of World Economy, published an article titled: ‘Regionalization of banking regulation as a driving force of the Eurasian financial stability mechanism’ (Journal of Money and Credit (Den’gi i Kredit), No.7, 2017).
