'Macro and Micro Dimensions of the Global Crisis in Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia' Session
On April 7th session A-07 entitled 'Macro and Micro Dimensions of the Global Crisis in Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia' took place at the HSE as part of the 11th International Conference on the Problems of Economic and Social Development. Video of the event added.
Mark Katz, a Professor and political scientist at George Mason University, the USA, recently visited the HSE Faculty of Applied Political Science for two weeks, delivering lectures and holding seminars. Prof. Katz talked to us about his visit to Moscow.

On March 1st a roundtable discussion entitled ‘Germany, Russia and Europe: Chances for the Growing Integration’ took place at the HSE. The event was organized on the initiative of the ‘Liberal Mission’ Foundation with the support of Friedrich Naumann Foundation. Werner Hoyer, Minister of State at the Foreign Office of Germany spoke at the meeting.

Between September 10th and 16th,‘Stanford Week’ organized by the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs took place at the HSE. Leading Stanford professors conducted short courses of lectures and master classes for students. Below is a selection of their comments about the event.
Mark Manuilov, a second-year student of the HSE Faculty of Management master’s course, told us about a new student initiative – aRussian-American forum involving the HSE, several other Moscow universities and Stanford University. Mark is one of the students who organized this project.
