On April 9, at the The School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, a round table was organized on “Russia and the Most Influential Countries of the Global South: A Comparison of Approaches to the New International Political and Economic-Financial Order”.

On April 11, 2024, The School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University in partnership with Allameh Tabataba'i University as part of the ongoing online seminar “Contemporary Area Studies”, holds a meeting with Dr. Andrey Baklanov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Studies Section, School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University.

Chaired by Dmitri Bondarenko, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of the RAS Institute of Africa, and Director of theInternational Centre of Anthropology at the HSEFaculty of Humanities, the Dissertation Council comprises prominent Russian Orientalists and Africanists from HSE University and other leading institutions.

At the end of October, Polina took part in the International Model of the United Nations in the UAE, and now she shares her experience with readers, as she believes that absolutely everyone should participate in Models. Polina's interview is especially relevant now, because in February 2024, HSE hosted its own Model UN (HSEMUN-24).

On March 21, 2024, Anastasia Likhacheva, Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, held a meeting with Kim Sewon, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and Lee Somyung, the new Director of the Moscow office of the Korea Foundation.

On March 14, the V International Online Round Table “Global Youth Problems” was held as part of the educational project “International Youth Dialogue “Voice of the Future”, implemented by the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University.

A new article by S. Karaganov, Professor Emeritus, Academic Supervisor of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, "An Age of Wars? Article Two. What Is to be Done" is to be published in the next issue of “Russia in Global Affairs” journal.

On February 16, the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University held a round table on the topic "Uruguay and Russia in a Changing World.”

On February 13-19, 2024, the fifth HSE University Model United Nations #HSEMUN24 was held at the Higher School of Economics with the support of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs.

Award ceremony of the HSE Alumni Award for outstanding graduates who have achieved great success in professional and public life was held on February 16. Sofia Shakhova, a graduate of the World Economy programme, opened the ceremony with the Gaudeamus student anthem.
