The idea of dialogue became the unspoken “core” of the EU – Latin America interregional relations, where the creation of the network of trade agreements played an important role, in which the EU was able to succeed noticeably. This article is devoted to political aspects of the chain of trade agreements with Latin America created by the European Union as one of the foundations of the whole complex of interregional relations that develop in accordance with the priority of economy over politics.

The School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University welcomed the Brazilian professor of Economy, Bruno De Conti, to debate the priorities of the Brazilian presidency of the G20 in an open lecture, held in April 25^th, 2024.

The Second Saint-Petersburg Congress on International Studies was held in St. Petersburg from April 25 to 27. Within the agenda of the Congress, the Laboratory on Climate Change Economics organized a session "Global Climate Policy in the Context of Geopolitical Transformations"

Elizaveta Fadeeva, a 3rd year student of International Relations programme, took part in the IV Russian-Egyptian Forum, which was held in Cairo from November 16 to 23, 2023. Elizaveta shared her impressions of the event, reports from speakers from different countries and even a bachelorette party with Egyptian women. The trip completely changed the student's idea of Egypt and all its diversity allowed her to fully experience the country.

On April 25, the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University held an International Round Table “The Global South in World Politics.”

On April 26, the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Politics of the HSE University, together with Allameh Tabatabai University, held an international round table “Russia and Iran on the path to a new world order.”

On April 9, at the The School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, a round table was organized on “Russia and the Most Influential Countries of the Global South: A Comparison of Approaches to the New International Political and Economic-Financial Order”.

On April 11, 2024, The School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University in partnership with Allameh Tabataba'i University as part of the ongoing online seminar “Contemporary Area Studies”, holds a meeting with Dr. Andrey Baklanov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Studies Section, School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University.

Chaired by Dmitri Bondarenko, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of the RAS Institute of Africa, and Director of theInternational Centre of Anthropology at the HSEFaculty of Humanities, the Dissertation Council comprises prominent Russian Orientalists and Africanists from HSE University and other leading institutions.
