On Saturday, January 15, 2022, WE Associate professor Andrej Krickovic participated in an online workshop, “International Organizations and Peaceful Change”, organized by T.V. Paul (McGill University). Kai He (Griffiths University), and Anders Wivel (University of Copenhagen).

Main ideas:       
- The purpose of the alliance between China and Russia is national development and ensuring the security of the countries
- Regional cooperation institutions will retain their importance for Russia 
- The main challenge for the Russian Federation is the transformation of neighboring countries into a territorial military base of global powers
- Russian policy in Eurasia is aimed at building relations with the medium and small states. 

Professor A.V. Lukin, head of the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism and head of the Department of International Relations, published an article in Russia in Global Affairs.

Egor Prokhin, a postdoc at the Faculty of World Economics and World Politics, and a research fellow at the CCEIS, became the winner of the regional finals of the “Leaders of Russia” national management contest on the track “Business and Industry”  in the Central Federal District, the flagship project of the presidential platform “Russia - the Country of Opportunities”.

On December 20, 2021 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University within the framework of the permanent online seminars «Contemporary Area Studies», organized a meeting with Sergey Demidenko, Associate Professor, Ph.D. of Historical Sciences, Head of the School of Political Studies of the Institute for Social Sciences, RANEPA.

On December 23, 2021, the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University within the framework of the permanent online seminar "Contemporary Area Studies", held a meeting with Dr. Anna Ayvazyan, Associate Professor, Research Fellow at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
